Objectives of this competition
This competition requires participating teams to design and construct a fixed size container plant factory within specified time, and implement a 3-month planting challenge. Participants need to design container plant factories reasonably to ensure space optimization, aesthetic and practical appearance, with intelligent and remotely controllable equipment. This competition focuses on hydroponic lettuce cultivation in artificial light environments. Participants are required to operate within designated crop varieties and harvesting specifications, and ensure that the planted products meet commercial standards.
Final scores will be determined based on evaluation of following aspects:Crop: Loose Leaf Lettuce
Design and construction: hardware equipment, software control, performance testing
Planting results: production, quality, energy conservation
System stability and fund control
Roadshow and text summary: commercialization and text summary
Awards
1. The competition has 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 2 third prizes,and 2 honorable mentions. The award is sponsored by pinduoduo agricultural science and technology fund, with a total amount of more than RMB1,000,000.
2. Winning teams will also receive the following benefits: (1) becoming Bright Flower Town Exhibition’s smart agriculture strategy; (2) entrepreneurship guidance and funding opportunities by first-tier fund. (3) the sales channels of scalable products under Bright Foods Group.
Eligibility
We expect the participating teams to meet the following criteria:1. Members come from organizations of research institutions, colleges, corporates, etc.
2. Experience in artificial intelligence, algorithms, horticulture, mechanical engineering, biological agriculture, digital agriculture, etc.
3. 8-10 people in each team.
4. Team should be honest and trustworthy, and abide by the competition organizer’s arrangements.
5. Each team should appoint a primary contact person responsible for liaising with the organizing committee.
